Limoges Boxes for Father's Day
Father's Day Limoges boxes solve the yearly puzzle of buying for a man who already owns a good tie. This group follows him to his favorite places, from the golf course and the fishing dock to the cigar lounge and the racetrack. The den gets well stocked here. Montecristo and Habana cigar boxes, a single cigar trimmed in brass, a cigar resting in a Cohiba ashtray and a pipe on an oval lid share space with French cognac, a large Scotch whiskey bottle and a Petrus bottle in blue and gold. A folding pocket knife, a Swiss Army knife with a corkscrew and a gangster style gray hat finish the look.
For the sporting father there are golfers with drivers, a golf cart in aqua, two men sharing a round, a baseball mitt and a football with a lift off helmet. Car men can pick a purple Porsche or a Grand Prix racer with a red stripe, and the angler has a fly rod, a creel and a boat at the dock. Each piece is porcelain from Limoges, France, painted by hand and fitted with a hinged lid and metal clasp. Set it on his desk at work, where it starts a conversation every Monday morning.
