Faith and Inspiration Limoges Boxes
Religious Limoges boxes gather Scripture, prayer and the Nativity into small porcelain keepsakes for the bedside table or the study shelf. A black Bible holds a removable brass cross, a white Holy Bible and an open Bible rest on their own covers, and Jesus sits at the Last Supper. The Christmas story takes center stage. The infant Jesus lies on straw in more than one manger, and Rochard sends the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph as separate Nativity figures. A set of three Holy Family boxes brings the scene together on a mantel.
A brown roof church comes with a removable Bible, a wedding church marks a marriage, and a Dutch clog carries a painted chapel, and Mount Saint Michel rises with a lamb, and a rectangle box shows a quiet church scene. Praying girls, a gold angel on flowers and an angel with violin and Bible keep watch. Rochard makes a First Holy Communion box and a keepsake book for the day. Each one is Hand-Painted by artisans in Limoges, France, with a hinged lid. They suit a godparent, a grandparent at a baptism or a pastor marking an anniversary of service.
