Rochard Manger Nativity Scene Limoges Box

A humble manger at Bethlehem forms the heart of this Nativity piece, a small porcelain scene of the first Christmas night. Rochard made and hand-painted this Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Away in a Manger

The manger is the center of every crèche, the spot where the whole story gathers. Rochard captures it as a lidded porcelain box, giving the holiday season a quiet, reverent focal point that does not need a large tabletop.

Gathering Around the Crib

This piece is a natural anchor for the Rochard Nativity figures. Set Mary, Joseph and the angel around it, and a full scene comes together in a space no wider than a small tray. Each detail is applied with a brush in the Limoges workshop, so no two are quite the same.

Season of Light

• A Rochard Nativity design from Limoges, France
• Centers a crèche of Holy Family and angel figures
• Fits a holiday mantel, sideboard or prayer table

It makes a thoughtful Christmas present for a pastor, a godparent or a family beginning its own holiday traditions, and it can be wrapped in tissue each January to wait for the next December.
