Bears and Pandas Limoges Boxes
Bears and pandas Limoges boxes make up one of the friendliest dens in the catalog. Teddy bears ride bicycles, scooters, locomotives and rowboats, sit in green armchairs and wicker baskets, and hold cookies, drums and suitcases, while their wild cousins guard honey pots and climb a beehive. Beyond the teddies, Rochard offers a panda mother with her cub, and a mini panda balances on a circus drum. Polar bears appear as a cub, as a La Gloriette angler with a fishing line, and as Santa's pal at an Artoria igloo. The wit of the bunch is the Stock Market Bear, a fine desk companion for anyone who watches the ticker and keeps a sense of humor about it.
Many of these bears mark an occasion. There is a teddy golfer on an oval box, a baseball star in USA colors, a graduate on a diploma, a chef, and a whole holiday run with Christmas books, boots full of presents and a reindeer sleigh. Each is Hand-Painted porcelain from Limoges, France, closed with a hinged lid. Pick the golfer for the man who is happiest on the back nine, the honey pot for a sweet tooth, or the bear in a red wagon for new grandparents, and set a few on a low shelf where they can keep each other company.
