Circus and Carnival Limoges Boxes
Circus and carnival Limoges boxes bring the midway home without the sawdust. Merry go rounds turn in red, purple, pastel green and pink and blue, one with white bumper cars parked alongside. A big top tent raises its striped roof, a box of popcorn waits by the gate and a carnival ride spins a load of mice.
Clowns are the main act. A bright French clown strikes a pose, a tall clown towers over the rest, and smaller ones carry bouquets, balloons or a drum. Clown faces even turn up on wrapped lollipops in pink, blue and orange, and a teddy bear clown brings a little teddy clown of his own. The menagerie keeps the show moving. Circus elephants parade, a tiger balances on a blue base and a mini panda stands on a circus drum. A bunny carousel and a mouse swing ride add a lighter touch, and a Christmas carousel turns the season into a fair. Each piece is Hand-Painted porcelain from Limoges, France, with a hinged lid and clasp. Set a carousel under a lamp so the colors catch, or give a clown to the friend who never misses the county fair.
