Popcorn Porcelain Limoges Box

Fresh from the theater lobby, this porcelain popcorn looks ready for the opening credits. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it brings the fun of a Saturday matinee to a shelf.

Now Showing

Few snacks are as tied to a single pastime as popcorn is to the movies. Turning it into fine porcelain is exactly the sort of playful twist Limoges painters have long enjoyed, with the color filled in by hand.

Seats for the Film Buff

Give it to the friend who knows every Oscar winner, the family member who built a home theater in the basement, or a projectionist, actor or drama teacher. It also makes a lively souvenir after a first date at the cinema or a night at a film festival. Set it on a media cabinet, a bookshelf of DVDs or a bar cart that doubles as the snack station on movie night.
