St. Patrick's Day Limoges Boxes
St. Patrick's Day Limoges boxes bring a little Irish luck to the shelf all year, not just on the seventeenth of March. A Rochard leprechaun, a pot of gold under a rainbow and a lamp post marked Luck of the Irish set the tone. Each piece is porcelain from Limoges, France, painted by hand with a hinged lid and clasp.
Green runs through the whole group. A small round box carries an Irish clover, a Rochard shamrock round wishes good luck, and one box has a four leaf clover that lifts right off the lid. A leprechaun hat comes paired with its own clover, and a green derby hat sits ready for the parade. The fun pieces lean toward the pub and the kitchen. An Irish pub box comes with four beer bottles, a Rochard Irish teapot pours a strong cup, a green heart hides porcelain chocolates, and Ms Irish Mama Pig wears her shamrocks proudly. Give one to the father or grandfather who still talks about the old county, and leave it beside his favorite pint glass. Come the parade, it is the quietest way to wear the green.
