Cottages and Country Homes Limoges Boxes
Cottage and house Limoges boxes put a whole village of porcelain homes within reach, each with a roof that lifts on a hinge. A beige cottage under a red roof, a yellow house with a trellis and a rustic country farmhouse all wear brushwork from Limoges, France. Some sit on a hill by the river, others on a quiet street.
The neighborhood is wider than it looks. A medieval village climbs toward its castle, a seaside villa and a California villa each have a pool, and a house sits beside a golf course for the man who wants a short walk to the first tee. Rochard adds Monet's house at Giverny with a paint brush, plus a Home Sweet Home box and a cottage with a welcome plaque. Winter brings its own street. A snowy neighborhood cottage and a snowy winter house sit under white roofs, and Santa appears on more than one chimney top, once with brass reindeer. A tiny mouse peeks out of a doorway, and a needle box carries a house scene on its lid. These make a fine marker for a closing day, a first home or a retirement cottage. Set a few along the mantel to sketch a street of your own.
