Colorful Merry Go Round Carnival Limoges Box

A merry go round spins with young riders aboard on this colorful, hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. Made in Limoges, France, it brings the music and lights of the county fair to a shelf.

Round and Round at the Fair

The carousel is the ride everyone can enjoy, from first-time riders holding on tight to grandparents waving from the rail. This piece captures that happy whirl. Fairground colors run all the way around it, so it looks cheerful from every angle as it sits on display.

Ticket to a Happy Memory

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain is fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand as well, which suits a busy, many-colored subject like this one. Put it on a den bookshelf, a family room cabinet or a desk that needs some cheer. It makes a sweet birthday present, a reminder of a summer fair, or a fond gift for someone who still chooses the same painted horse every time.
