Christmas Merry Go Round Carousel Limoges Box

A Christmas merry-go-round turns in miniature here, dressed for the holidays in a winter wonderland of cheer. This hand-painted Limoges box was made from porcelain in Limoges, France.

Round and Round at Christmas

Carousels have a magic all their own, and dressing one up for the holidays doubles the joy. Many towns set up a holiday carousel in the square each December, with music and lights drawing families out into the cold. This box brings that festive spin home.

The Carousel Collector's Corner

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits carousel, carnival and Christmas collections
• Pairs with rocking horse, ornament and winter boxes

A Ride Worth Remembering

Set it on the mantel among twinkling lights, on a holiday side table or in a curio with other carousel pieces. It makes a joyful present for a carousel collector, a family that rides the holiday carousel every year, a music box fan or a grandparent who remembers the fairgrounds of years past.

From Kiln to Carousel

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain has been fired. A busy subject like a carousel shows just how much careful brushwork that step can hold.
