Merry Go Round with White Bumper Cars Limoges Box
White bumper cars line up on a merry go round in this cheerful carnival scene, shaped as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. It was made in Limoges, France, and it captures the giddy fun of a summer midway.
Bump, Spin and Laugh
The bumper car arrived at amusement parks in the 1920s and quickly became the ride everyone remembers. Here the white cars and the turning platform are painted by hand, so the colors and details vary slightly from box to box.

Rides Worth Remembering
It suits a family that never misses the state fair, a couple who shared a first kiss on the boardwalk, or a friend who works at an amusement park. It is a fun present for a teen driver who just passed the road test, with a wink at all that practice bumping into things. Retired carnival workers and ride operators will love seeing their trade in porcelain.
Display it beside the horse carousel box in this collection for a little fairground on the shelf.
