Carnival Ride with Mice Porcelain Limoges Box

A band of mice has taken over a carnival ride on this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, and they look thoroughly pleased with themselves. Made in Limoges, France, it is a little fairground adventure told from a mouse's point of view.

Squeaks on the Midway

There is something irresistible about tiny creatures enjoying big human pleasures, and a spin on a carnival ride is about as big as fun gets. The mice give the piece a storybook humor that brings to mind classic picture books and cartoons.

Whiskers and Fairground Lights

Mouse collectors tend to treasure this one for its sense of fun, and carnival collectors like the way it adds characters to a midway display. Put it on a bookshelf in a reading nook, on a family room cabinet or on a desk where it can lighten a busy day. It makes a smile-worthy birthday present, a souvenir of a state fair visit, or a thank-you for a friend who never takes life too seriously and always saves room for one more ride.
