White Carousel with Bumper Cars Limoges Box

A white carousel turns beside a ride of bumper cars, bringing the music and laughter of a county fair to porcelain. Limoges painters in France decorated this merry-go-round box by hand.

Round and Round We Go

The carousel is the gentlest ride at the fair, the one every generation remembers, and pairing it with bumper cars adds a playful jolt of fun. The white body lets the painted details stand out, and since each box is finished by hand, the colors vary from piece to piece.

Midway Memories

This piece calls up summer nights at the fair, cotton candy, ring toss games and the glow of lights at dusk. It suits anyone who worked a summer at an amusement park, a friend who rode the carousel on a first date, or a grandparent who loves taking the family to the fair each August.
