Brown Bear Hand-Painted Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

A brown bear, the lord of the northern forest, takes shape in this porcelain figurine box. Hand-painted in Limoges, France, it brings a touch of the wilderness indoors.

King of the Backcountry

Brown bears range from the forests of Europe to the coasts of Alaska, and few animals command quite as much respect. This piece honors that strength and calm, a quiet companion for anyone who has hiked in bear country or watched them fish for salmon from a safe distance.

Lodge and Cabin Style

Set it on a cabin mantel, a den bookcase or an office shelf beside photos from a national park trip. Paired with the bear on a beehive, a moose or a wolf figure, it becomes the start of a wildlife corner with a rustic feel.

A Bear Hug of a Present

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• A strong pick for a hunter, hiker or wildlife photographer
• A fitting nod for a California native, since the grizzly is on the state flag

The figure is hand-painted after firing, so its coloring varies a little from one bear to another, just as it does in the wild.
