Orange Fish with White Stripes Limoges Box

Bright orange with crisp white stripes, this fish looks ready to dart through a coral reef. The fish was painted by hand on a porcelain Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Orange Flash Under the Waves

The orange and white pairing recalls clownfish and other reef dwellers that make tropical waters so colorful. Those white stripes break up the warm body and give it a clean, lively pattern that stands out on any shelf.

Making Waves at Home

Set it on a bathroom vanity with seashells, a sunny shelf in a beach cottage, or a row of other colorful fish to create a little aquarium in porcelain. It makes a fun present for a snorkeler, a reef conservation volunteer, an aquarium hobbyist, or a friend who just booked a trip to the Caribbean. Fish box collectors enjoy how the orange tones warm up a grouping of blues and yellows. Each fish is painted by hand, so the stripes vary a little in width and placement.
