Pea Pod with Two Peas Rochard Limoges Box

$352.00 $0.00

Two peas sit snug inside their pod, the perfect picture of a pair that belongs together. Rochard turned the old saying into a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France.

Two Peas in a Pod

The phrase has described inseparable friends, siblings and couples for centuries, and this piece puts it right in your hand. Rochard paints the pod and peas by hand, so each finished box has its own gentle variations.

Garden Patch Pairings

  • A Rochard vegetable design, painted by hand in Limoges, France
  • Pairs with carrot, strawberry and garden pieces
  • Fits a friendship, twins or kitchen collection

For the Pair Who Belong Together

This makes a sweet present for a best friend, a sister, a newly engaged couple or a set of twins. It also suits a baby shower for parents expecting two, or an anniversary when a couple wants to say they are still inseparable. Gardeners who grow their own peas will smile at it too. Set it on a kitchen shelf, a nightstand or a desk beside a photo of the pair it celebrates.

Fired, Painted and Mounted

Like many Limoges boxes, a piece such as this is painted by hand after the white porcelain is fired, and its metal mounts are fitted by hand afterward.
