Rochard Camping Tent Porcelain Limoges Box

Pitched and ready for a night under the stars, a camping tent becomes a porcelain keepsake in this Rochard design. The whole tent forms the box, hand-painted and made in Limoges, France.

Base Camp in Porcelain

Anyone who has fought with tent poles in the dark will appreciate a tent that never needs setting up. Rochard turned that weekend shelter into a small box, with the lid worked right into the shape so the outline stays true. It is a sculpture of a tent, not gear, and it lives indoors on a shelf.

Campfire Story Starters

• A Rochard piece painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Fits a camping, hiking, scouting or national parks collection
• Makes a little campsite next to the Rochard Happy Camper trunk

For the Trail Crowd

This is a natural present for a scout leader, a summer camp counselor, a retiring park ranger or the friend who plans the family camping trip every August. It also marks a first backpacking trip or an Eagle Scout milestone. Display it on a cabin mantel, a lodge style bookcase or an office desk where it can remind its owner of the next weekend away.

Made the Limoges Way

Limoges boxes start as white porcelain fired at very high heat, and only after that firing does the painting begin, one color at a time.
