Rochard Skier on a Snowy Mountain Limoges Box

A skier carves down a snowy mountain, the slope falling away beneath the skis on this Rochard porcelain box. It is hand-painted in Limoges, France, for anyone who counts the days until the lifts open.

First Chair, Fresh Powder

There is a particular joy in the first run of the morning, when the snow is untouched and the air bites. This piece holds that feeling: a lone skier, a mountain, and a long way down. Rochard paints the figure and the snowy peak by hand, so the colors on each box vary slightly.

Après Ski Gathering

• A Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Groups with ski trail map, snowboard and chalet subjects
• Suits a skiing, alpine or winter sports collection

Mountain Lodge Mantel

Set it on the mantel at a ski cabin, on a shelf beside old lift tickets, or on an office desk to dream about the next trip west. It suits a ski instructor, a ski patrol member, a racer on the high school team or a couple who met on a chairlift. Give it to mark a first black diamond, a ski club anniversary or a winter birthday.
