Poetry Book with a Rose Porcelain Limoges Box
A single rose rests across a book of poems on this romantic piece, as if someone paused mid verse to dream. Book and flower alike are hand-painted porcelain, made as a Limoges box in Limoges, France.
Verses and Petals
Few symbols speak of love as plainly as a rose, and pairing it with poetry adds a quiet, literary layer. It brings to mind sonnets read aloud and flowers pressed between pages. The color is applied by hand, so the petals and binding each carry their own subtle shading.

Words Left Unsaid
It is a lovely Valentine's Day surprise, an anniversary token for a couple who share a favorite poem, or a thank you to an English teacher who opened up the world of verse. Writers, book club friends and anyone who reads Keats or Neruda for pleasure will appreciate it. Place it on a nightstand beside a well worn anthology, on a reading table near the window, or on a bookshelf between the classics where it reads as a little tribute to the written word.
