Round Cobalt Blue Limoges Box with Roses

Painted roses bloom against a deep cobalt blue ground on this round porcelain box, the strong color making every petal stand out. The roses and the blue alike were painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France.

Roses on a Midnight Field

Cobalt blue has been prized on fine porcelain for centuries because it holds its depth so well. Paired with roses, it gives this round box a classic, formal look that reads clearly even from across a room.

A Rose by Any Room

Cobalt pieces sit especially well in a china hutch alongside white dishes, or on a bedside table in a blue and white bedroom. The round shape means it looks right from every side, so it can stand in the middle of a shelf.
