Dark Blue Limoges Box with Roses

Roses bloom across a dark blue rectangle, rich and dramatic like a moonlit garden. The porcelain Limoges box was made and painted by hand in Limoges, France, a formal piece with romantic flair.

Moonlit Rose Garden

Dark blue makes the roses glow by contrast, so the flowers seem to step forward from the porcelain. Roses have stood for love and admiration for centuries, and here they feel both classic and bold. Each rose is painted by hand, giving every box slight variations in petals and shading.

Library and Anniversary

The rectangle sits neatly on a library shelf, a desk or a mantel, and it looks especially handsome in a navy and gold room. It suits an anniversary, a June birthday, when the rose is the birth flower, or a thank you to a gardener who tends prize roses. Placed beside lighter boxes, it adds a rich, deep note.
