Picnic Basket with Champagne and Flowers Limoges Box

A picnic basket set out with fresh flowers and a bottle of champagne turns a simple lunch into a proper celebration. Here the whole romantic spread has been painted by hand on a porcelain Limoges box from Limoges, France, in a design that is now retired.

A Toast Under the Trees

This is the romantic cousin of the plain picnic basket. The flowers and the bubbly suggest a proposal, an anniversary lunch or a long-awaited reunion. Everything is painted by hand, so the bouquet and bottle each have their own color and character.

Planning the Perfect Afternoon

Valentine's Day, an engagement, a wedding shower or a milestone anniversary are all natural moments for this box. It also works as a thank-you for a bridesmaid or a memento of a honeymoon picnic in the French countryside. Couples who met over a shared meal often love a piece like this.

Romance on the Shelf

• A retired design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits romance, celebration, wine and picnic groupings
• Lovely next to heart, rose and champagne bottle boxes

Set it on a bedroom dresser, a bar cart or a sunny breakfast table, where the flowers and champagne add a festive note all year long.
