Rochard Christmas Advent Calendar Porcelain Limoges Box
Little paper doors, one opened each morning, have counted down to Christmas in homes for generations. Rochard turned the Advent calendar into a porcelain box, sculpted and hand-painted in Limoges, France.
Counting Down to the Twenty-Fifth
The Advent calendar began in Germany as a way to mark the days of December, and today it comes in every form from paper and chocolate to wood. This porcelain version keeps the tradition for good, a box that comes out on the first of December and stays until the big day.
December Morning Ritual
Place it on a breakfast table, a mantel, or an entry console where everyone passes each day of the season. It makes a lovely present for a family that loves holiday traditions, a teacher before the winter break, a godparent, or a grandparent who keeps the countdown going year after year.

Porcelain Since the 1700s
Hard-paste porcelain has been fired in Limoges since the late 1700s, and many boxes are still painted by hand after firing.
