Little Dog in a Dog House Porcelain Limoges Box

A dog has settled into the doorway of its little house, keeping watch over the yard. This hand-painted porcelain figurine box is a Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Home Sweet Doghouse

There is something comforting about a dog at home in its own house, content and on duty at the same time. The porcelain doghouse and its occupant make a tiny backyard scene that feels warm and familiar. It suits almost any breed lover, since the charm is in the moment rather than a particular dog.

Gifts for the Dog Crowd

It makes a thoughtful present for a new puppy owner, a groomer, a dog walker, or a trainer. It also serves as a kind remembrance for a family that has lost a faithful dog. Set it by the back door, on a mudroom shelf, or on a desk next to a framed photo of your own pup.

Made the Old Way

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain has been fired, and this little doghouse follows that long tradition.
