Rochard Mount Rushmore Hand-Painted Porcelain Limoges Box

Four presidents look out over the Black Hills on Mount Rushmore, and Rochard brings that famous granite monument home as a porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Faces of a Nation

Carved between 1927 and 1941, Mount Rushmore honors George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, chosen to represent the birth, growth, development and preservation of the country. Each face stands about sixty feet tall, and millions visit South Dakota every year to see them. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum and some four hundred workers shaped the mountain with dynamite, drills and hand tools.

Great American Road Trip

• Pairs well with Monticello, Liberty Bell and bald eagle boxes

Patriotic Shelf Spots

Set it on a home office desk, a bookshelf of American history or a curio of national landmarks. It makes a fine Fourth of July hostess present, a souvenir of a family road trip through the Black Hills, a retirement present for a veteran, or a thank-you for a civics teacher.
