Pencil Shaped Porcelain Limoges Box

Shaped like an ordinary wooden pencil, sharpened point and all, this little porcelain box turns an everyday desk tool into a keepsake. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box with its color applied by hand in Limoges, France.

Sharpened to a Point

The pencil has written grocery lists, love letters and novels, and it still has a place on almost every desk. The long slim shape here is simple, but the clean painted finish gives it a crisp, graphic look that suits a modern office as easily as a schoolroom.

Top of the Class

Thank You, Teacher

Teachers are the natural audience, and it makes a lasting end of year thank-you or a retirement present after a long career in the classroom. Writers, illustrators and architects will like it too. Lay it on a desk blotter, beside a pencil cup, or on a shelf above a drafting table, where it looks almost like the real thing at first glance.

A good reminder that every big project starts with a single line.
