White French Love Seat Limoges Box

A white French love seat, trimmed with painted floral motifs, makes up this porcelain box, as if lifted from a Paris salon. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, from the furniture shaped designs.

A Seat for Two in the Salon

The love seat, or causeuse, was made for conversation, a small settee just wide enough for two people to sit close and talk. In white with delicate flowers, this miniature version captures the light, graceful style of French drawing rooms.

The Dollhouse Drawing Room

• Fits a furniture, home or French style collection
• Pairs with the candlestick and teapot pieces for a parlor scene

Moms, Brides and New Homes

Arrange it in a curio cabinet with other miniature furniture boxes, or set it on a dresser or bedside table. It makes a fitting present for Mother's Day, a wedding or a housewarming, and a sweet anniversary token for a couple who still saves a spot on the sofa for each other. Interior designers and fans of French antiques often smile at the detail.
