Tooth Fairy Porcelain Figurine Limoges Box

The tooth fairy takes figurine form on this porcelain box, ready to trade a coin for a tiny lost tooth. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, as a keepsake for that memorable first wiggle and gap-toothed grin.

A Coin Under the Pillow

The tradition of leaving a tooth for a magical visitor reaches back centuries, and in France the visitor is often a little mouse rather than a fairy. However the story is told, this piece turns a small milestone into something to treasure, painted by hand with a light, magical touch.

Milestones Worth Marking

Set it on a dresser or nightstand, where it can wait for the big night. It makes a sweet present from grandparents, godparents or a family dentist, and parents often keep it afterward as a memento of those early years. For a collector of fairy tale figurines, it adds a gentle bit of folklore to the shelf.
