Rochard Rocking Chair Rabbit Mother and Baby Limoges Box

A mother rabbit settles into her rocking chair with her baby close, a quiet family moment shaped into this Rochard Limoges box. The scene is modeled in porcelain and painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Rock-a-Bye Bunny

There is something universally calming about a rocking chair, and Rochard used it to frame a tender scene between a mother and her little one. Each box is decorated by hand, so the finish on every rabbit varies just slightly from the last.

Spring Celebrations

This piece suits Mother's Day, a baby shower, or a first Easter for a new family. It looks sweet on a bedside table, a dresser or a shelf beside framed family photos. Grandmothers who spent many nights rocking little ones often find it especially touching, and it makes a gentle thank-you for a doula or a nurse who helped bring a baby home.

Fired Hard and Painted Fine

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high temperatures, which gives it the bright white body that painters use as their canvas.
