Rochard Black Panther Mother with Baby Limoges Box
A black panther appears with her baby in this Rochard Limoges box, a mother and cub pair modeled in porcelain. The piece is painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Shadow of the Jungle
The black panther moves through the rainforest almost unseen, and its dark coat has made it one of the most striking of the big cats, admired by wildlife watchers around the world. Pairing the mother with her young softens that fierce reputation and gives the box a tender story at its center.

A Mother's Watchful Eye
This pair suits Mother's Day, a baby shower, or a present for a new mom who loves wild animals. It looks at home in a glass curio cabinet, on a study bookshelf or beside travel photos from a wildlife reserve. Zoo volunteers and big cat conservation supporters often appreciate a piece that celebrates one of the less common feline subjects in Limoges porcelain.
