Rochard Raccoon and Baby Limoges Box

A raccoon and its baby share this tender woodland scene from Rochard. The Limoges box was formed in porcelain and painted by hand in Limoges, France, capturing a gentle moment between parent and young.

Little Masked Bandits

Raccoons have a well earned reputation for mischief, raiding trash cans and outsmarting every latch on the shed. Yet they are also devoted parents, keeping their young close for months as they learn the ways of the woods. This piece shows that softer side, turning a backyard bandit into a symbol of family.

Woodland Moments at Home

Set it on a cabin bookshelf, a windowsill overlooking the yard or a curio cabinet filled with woodland creatures. It makes a sweet present for a new mother, a Mother's Day surprise, or a shower present with a woodland theme. Nature watchers who have seen a raccoon family parade across the lawn at dusk will love the reminder. The parent and baby pairing gives it a warm, family feel that suits almost any room.

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat, so even a tender scene like this one is made to last.
