Rochard Kitten Tucked in a Wicker Basket Limoges Box

Curled up in a wicker basket, a kitten has found the coziest spot in the house and has no plans to move. This sleepy scene is a Rochard porcelain Limoges box, with every detail brushed on by hand in Limoges, France.

Nap Time in the Basket

Anyone who has lived with a kitten knows that a basket, a box or a laundry pile becomes a bed the moment you look away. Rochard captures that small, sleepy moment, with the woven wicker and the little cat painted separately by hand so each finished box has its own character.

Welcome Home, Little One

It is a sweet way to celebrate a newly adopted kitten, to thank a friend who fosters for a shelter, or to remember a beloved cat who once claimed every basket in the house. Set it on a nightstand, a sunny windowsill where a real cat might nap, or a bookshelf in a reading corner. Veterinarians and cat sitters often appreciate a piece like this too, and it makes a gentle sympathy present when a longtime pet passes.
