Mr Turtle with Shopping Basket Limoges Box

Mr Turtle is heading out to market with a shopping basket, taking his time as only a turtle can. This porcelain Limoges box was hand-painted in Limoges, France, with a gentle, storybook humor.

Slow and Steady to Market

Everyone remembers the fable of the tortoise and the hare, where patience wins the race. A turtle with a basket brings that lesson home, showing that the errands get done eventually, one careful step at a time.

Market Day Companions

• Figural porcelain painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Fits a turtle, dressed animal or market day collection
• Pairs naturally with Mr Frog in his top hat

For Patient Souls

Give it to the friend who never rushes, a turtle collector, or the person who loves Saturday mornings at the farmers market. It also makes a lighthearted retirement present for someone ready to slow down and enjoy life. Set it on a kitchen counter, a breakfast nook shelf or beside a basket of fresh produce. It adds a smile to any room where errands get planned, and it reminds a busy household that there is no shame in taking the scenic route now and then.
