Painted Picnic Basket Porcelain Limoges Box

A picnic basket, painted in bright colors and lively patterns, brings a summer afternoon in the park right onto the shelf. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box from Limoges, France, shaped like the basket that comes out every time the sun does.

Packed for a Sunny Day

The picnic basket is a symbol of easy leisure, of blankets spread on the grass and long conversations with nowhere else to be. In porcelain, the cheerful colors keep that feeling close long after the season ends.

Garden Party Guests

Set it on a sunroom shelf, a garden room windowsill or a kitchen hutch. It makes a cheerful housewarming present for a family with a big backyard, a summer birthday surprise, or a thank-you for the friend who always organizes the neighborhood picnic. Bring it out each Memorial Day and let it stay through Labor Day as part of a summer shelf rotation.
