Tabby Cat in a Basket Limoges Box

A striped tabby cat curls up in a basket on this porcelain figurine box, the picture of a well-earned afternoon nap. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and one of the cat themed designs.

Cat Nap in Progress

Any cat owner knows that an empty basket never stays empty for long. This piece captures that universal truth, with the tabby's coat brushed on by hand so the stripes have the soft irregularity of real fur.

The Cozy Corner Collection

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a cat, kitten or pet collection
• Pairs with yarn ball, fish and windowsill cat pieces

For the Cat Devoted

Set it on a windowsill, a reading corner table or a kitchen shelf where the real cat likes to supervise. It makes a thoughtful present for a cat owner, a pet sitter, a veterinarian or a shelter volunteer, and a gentle memorial for someone missing a beloved tabby. Cat collectors will find it a calm, homey addition among more playful kitten pieces. Add a real basket of yarn nearby and the scene feels complete.
