Rochard Open Bible Porcelain Limoges Box

An open Bible, its pages spread wide as if marking a favorite verse, is the shape of this porcelain box. It is a Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France, and the book lifts open to reveal a small hidden space.

Pages of Faith

For many families the Bible is the book passed from one generation to the next, with births, weddings and baptisms written inside the cover. This porcelain version honors that tradition in a form small enough to keep close at hand.

Rochard Craftsmanship

Rochard is a respected name among modern Limoges box makers, and its pieces are painted by hand after the porcelain is fired. That means the colors and fine lines on each open book differ slightly from one to the next.

Milestones of the Spirit

• A baptism, first communion, confirmation or ordination
• A thank-you for a pastor, priest, deacon or Sunday school teacher
• A comfort to someone marking a loss or a hard season

Place it on a nightstand beside a reading lamp, in a prayer corner, or on an office shelf at church. It pairs with cross, angel, praying hands and rosary pieces in a faith collection made in Limoges, France.
