Rochard Holiday Book Limoges Box with Lift Out Santa

Open a holiday storybook and Santa himself steps out. This Rochard Limoges box is shaped as a Christmas book, with a small Santa figure that lifts free to stand on his own, all in porcelain painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Once Upon a Christmas Eve

So many holiday traditions start with a story read aloud by the fire, and this piece turns that ritual into something you can set on a shelf. The book form nods to the classic tales, while the separate Santa gives it a second life as a tiny figure. Stand him beside the closed book, or let him peek out from behind it.

A Shelf Worth Reading

A bookcase is the obvious home, slipped in among real volumes so guests spot it on a second look. It also works on a side table next to a reading chair, or on a mantel with a pair of candlesticks. Readers, librarians, teachers and book club friends all make natural recipients, and it fits neatly into a December gift exchange.

Small porcelain boxes first became fashionable in 18th-century France, and this one carries that habit forward with a seasonal story.
