A frog stretches out on a lily pad, soaking up the sun as though the whole pond belongs to him. This hinged porcelain figurine box was painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Lazy Days on the Lily Pad

Frogs have been lucky charms and garden favorites in many cultures, and few creatures look as content as one lounging on a lily pad. This piece captures that easygoing mood, a little reminder to slow down and enjoy a summer afternoon.

Pond Life Pairings

  • Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
  • Fits a frog, pond, garden or water lily collection
  • Pairs with turtle, fish, duck and dragonfly pieces

Leaping Into a New Home

Frog collectors are a loyal group, and this piece makes a cheerful addition for someone who already has dozens. It also suits a gardener with a backyard pond, a biology teacher, or a friend leaping into a new job or new home. Set it on a windowsill, a bathroom shelf or a sunroom table among potted plants.

Claude Monet painted the water lilies of his garden at Giverny again and again, and this frog brings a small, playful echo of that French garden to any shelf.
