Ladybug Playing Music on Lily Pad Porcelain Limoges Box

A little red ladybug strikes up a tune on a lily pad, giving the pond its own small concert. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, brings music and garden charm together in one bright scene.

A Pond Side Performance

Ladybugs are often seen as tokens of good luck, and this one seems determined to share its happiness through song. The ladybug, its instrument and the lily pad are painted by hand, so the reds and greens differ a little with each box.

Good Luck Notes

This is a cheerful present for a musician starting a new job, a music teacher, or a friend who could use a bit of good luck. It also suits gardeners who welcome ladybugs among their roses. Set it on a garden room shelf, a piano or a windowsill near the flower beds. It brightens a corner with its red shell and lively spirit, and it gives a garden critter collection a musical member.
