Green Flat Round Butterfly Porcelain Limoges Box
A butterfly settles on the lid of this green flat round box, as if it has just landed in a summer meadow. This hand-painted Limoges box was shaped in porcelain and given its colors by a painter in Limoges, France.
Wings Over the Meadow
Butterflies stand for change, joy and new beginnings, and here one spreads across a fresh green ground like a visitor on a leaf. The flat round shape keeps the design clear and simple, so the butterfly is the star of the show.
A Garden in Miniature
- Pairs with ladybug, bee and flower themed boxes
- Joins green and lime boxes for a leafy color grouping
- Fits a butterfly, garden or nature collection
Transformation Gifts
A butterfly box makes a meaningful present for someone starting a new chapter: a graduate, a new retiree, or a friend who has come through a difficult year. It is also a gentle memorial gift, since many families see butterflies as a sign of a loved one nearby.
Butterfly collectors and gardeners alike will enjoy it on a sunny windowsill or beside potted plants. Hand-painted in Limoges, France, it captures a fleeting summer moment in lasting porcelain.
