Rochard Black Cat and Jack O Lantern Limoges Box

A black cat and a jack o lantern share a Halloween night in this Rochard Limoges box, the perfect pair for the spookiest evening of the year. Rochard painted the scene by hand in Limoges, France.

Prowling on All Hallows' Eve

Black cats and carved pumpkins have been part of Halloween lore for generations, from old folk tales to front porch displays. Together they set the mood instantly, a little eerie, a little playful, and full of autumn spirit.

Rochard's Haunted Shelf

• A Rochard design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits a Halloween, cat or autumn themed collection
• Pairs with witch hat, ghost, owl and pumpkin boxes

Moonlit Mantel

Bring it out on the first of October and set it on the mantel, a foyer console or a bookcase with candles and gourds. It makes a fun present for a cat owner with a sense of humor, a friend whose birthday falls on Halloween, or the neighbor who always has the best-decorated porch. Black cat fans will want it on display all year.

A Spooky Subject for an Old Craft

Small porcelain boxes became fashionable in 18th-century France for snuff, pills and beauty patches. Today the same tradition lends itself to playful subjects like a Halloween cat.
