Christmas Holly and Mistletoe Tall Oval Limoges Box

Sprigs of holly, mistletoe and Christmas ivy twine around this tall oval porcelain box, bringing a little evergreen cheer to any December tabletop. It is a hand-painted Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, and shaped as a tall oval pill box.

Kiss Me Under the Mistletoe

Holly and mistletoe were hung in winter homes for centuries before the decorated tree became the center of the season. Here the leaves and berries are brushed on by hand, with trailing ivy tying the greenery together around the tall oval form.

Twelve Days of Display

Bring it out with the ornaments and let it stand on the mantel, the hall table or beside a bowl of clementines through the New Year. It makes a warm Secret Santa exchange, a thank-you for the host of the office party, or a December birthday present for someone who never minds sharing their day with the holiday. When the tree comes down, it can wait with the ornaments until next year.
