Jester Jack in the Box Porcelain Limoges Box

A jester pops out of a jack in the box, all mischief and flair, ready to surprise whoever lifts the lid. Every color of this playful porcelain box was laid on by hand in Limoges, France.

Pop Goes the Jester

The jack in the box has been a favorite toy for generations, and the court jester adds a theatrical twist from the days of kings and castles. Together they make a cheerful, witty figure, painted entirely by hand so each jester has a slightly different expression and palette.

Court of Merry Mischief

Group it with clown, carousel and circus pieces for a lively entertainment shelf, or set it among toy soldiers, rocking horses and teddy bears for a vintage toy theme. It also fits a Renaissance faire collection or a shelf devoted to theater and comedy.
