Retired Christmas Toy Chest Porcelain Limoges Box
A Christmas toy chest, packed and ready for the big morning, captures the magic of unwrapping day in this retired design. It was hand-painted on porcelain in Limoges, France, as a Limoges box.
Packed for the Big Morning
The toy chest is the treasure trove of the holidays, where favorites get tucked away and new arrivals find a home. This box gives that cheerful idea a festive Christmas twist. It brings back memories of rocking horses, dolls and wooden trains from Christmases past.
Treasures of Christmas Past
- A retired design, painted by hand in Limoges, France
- Fits Christmas, toy and holiday nursery themes
- Pairs with rocking horse, teddy bear and train boxes
A Spot by the Tree
Set it beneath the tree, on a nursery shelf for a first Christmas or on a mantel among other toy pieces. It is a sweet present for a baby's first Christmas, new grandparents, or a toy collector who still treasures a favorite from long ago. Families who keep a toy chest of their own will appreciate the nod.
Fired, Then Painted
Limoges porcelain is a hard-paste porcelain fired at very high heat. Only after that firing do the painters add the bright holiday colors that bring a toy chest like this to life.
