Rochard Macanudo Cigar Ashtray Porcelain Limoges Box

A Macanudo ashtray with a cigar resting in it is shaped in porcelain for this Rochard Limoges box, a nod to quiet evenings in a leather chair. It is hand-painted in Limoges, France, and the cigar is porcelain too, made for the shelf rather than the humidor.

An Evening in the Smoking Room

The cigar has long been tied to celebration, from the arrival of a new baby to the closing of a big deal. Rochard captures that ritual with an ashtray and cigar under a well-known name. Each one is painted by hand, so the tones and details vary slightly from piece to piece.

Celebrations Worth a Toast

This makes a fun present for a new father, a groom and his groomsmen, a partner who just closed a deal, or a retiree settling into a leisurely life. It also suits a cigar club member, a friend just back from a trip to the Caribbean, or anyone who enjoys a fine cigar on the porch after dinner. Set it on a den bookshelf, a home bar or an office credenza beside a decanter. In a study with leather chairs and old books, it looks right at home.
