Cobalt Blue and Gold Egg with Photo Frame Porcelain Limoges

A cobalt blue egg trimmed in gold opens onto an upright oval picture frame. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, gives a treasured photo a rich, formal setting.

Deep Blue, Bright Gold

Cobalt blue and gold have been a celebrated pairing on fine porcelain for centuries, and this egg carries on that tradition. The color and gilding are applied by hand, so the depth of the blue and the gold lines vary slightly from egg to egg.

Portraits Fit for the Frame

A formal wedding portrait, a military service photo or a graduation picture all look distinguished inside. It is also a dignified way to remember a parent or grandparent, set on a desk or a bedside table.
