Santa Atop a Christmas House Porcelain Limoges Box
Santa Claus has climbed right up onto the roof of a snug Christmas house, ready for his busiest night of the year. This porcelain Limoges box was shaped and hand-painted in Limoges, France, and it turns a classic holiday scene into something small enough to hold in one hand.
Up on the Rooftop
The house forms the body of the box while Santa sits above it, so the piece reads like a tiny Christmas village moment frozen in porcelain. It tells the whole story of Christmas Eve without needing a single word, which is why rooftop Santas stay so popular with holiday shoppers.
Joining the Holiday Village
- Hand-painted porcelain made in Limoges, France
- Settles in easily beside a Christmas village, sleigh or reindeer grouping
- A cheerful companion to chimney, stocking and gingerbread house pieces
Home for the Holidays
Give it a place of honor on the mantel each December, or tuck it among the greenery on a hall table where guests will spot it first. It makes a warm thank-you for the friend who hosts Christmas dinner, or a sweet surprise for a family that decorates the house top to bottom every year.
Once the season ends, it slips back into the holiday bin and waits for next year's unpacking, which is half the fun of a piece like this.
