Oversized Dog in Doghouse Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

Somebody clearly outgrew his house. A big, happy dog squeezes into a doghouse far too small for him, and the result is one of the funniest pet pieces on the shelf. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

No Room to Wag

The joke lives in the scale. The doghouse forms the box, and the oversized pup filling every inch of it gives the piece its charm. Hand painting brings out the personality of the dog, so each finished box has its own small differences in expression and color.

Fetching Company on the Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Belongs in a dog, pet or humorous animal collection
• Pairs well with dog bowl, bone and fire hydrant pieces

For Big Dogs With Lap Dog Hearts

Every owner of a Great Dane, a mastiff or a Newfoundland knows the feeling of a giant dog trying to curl up somewhere small. This is the piece for them, as well as for a dog walker, groomer, trainer or veterinarian who deserves a thank-you with a laugh built in.

Set it on an entry table near the leash hook, on a desk at the office or in a curio cabinet with other pet pieces. It also makes a gentle remembrance for someone who has lost a beloved big dog, keeping the happy memories front and center.
