Saint Bernard Dog Porcelain Limoges Box

The gentle giant of the Swiss Alps, the St Bernard, is captured here as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France. It carries all the calm patience and loyal warmth the breed is known for.

Rescue in the Snow

For centuries, monks at the Great St Bernard Pass kept these dogs to find travelers lost in the mountain snow. The famous coat and kindly face are painted by hand on this piece, so the markings and expression vary slightly from box to box.

Big Dog, Bigger Heart

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• A gentle breed for a dog or working dog collection
• Pairs with Bernese mountain dog, ski and chalet boxes

Who Will Smile

It is a heartfelt present for a St Bernard owner, a search and rescue volunteer, or a ski patrol member. It also makes a kind remembrance of a big dog who has crossed the rainbow bridge, and a warm souvenir of a trip to Switzerland. Veterinarians who treat the giant breeds will appreciate it as well.

Set it on a mantel by the fire, in a mountain cabin or beside a framed photo of your own gentle giant.
