Millennium 2000 Pink and Blue Angel Limoges Box

An angel dressed in soft pink and blue marks the arrival of a new millennium on this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. Made in Limoges, France, it was created to celebrate the year 2000 and the hopes that came with it.

Wings Over the Year 2000

The turn of the millennium was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, greeted with fireworks, prayers and plenty of wishes for the future. An angel is a fitting guardian for that occasion. Her gentle pink and blue colors give the piece a peaceful, heavenly feel rather than a noisy party mood.

A Guardian for Any Shelf

It makes a meaningful present for someone born or married in 2000, a christening or baptism, or a friend who keeps an angel on every windowsill. Display it on a nightstand, a bedroom shelf or in a curio cabinet with other commemorative pieces. Collectors of dated and event pieces appreciate it as a record of a turning point, while angel collectors simply love its soft colors and calm presence.
